Commission (₹) = Room revenue from that channel × OTA commission rate (%). Example: ₹2,70,000 × 18% = ₹48,600.
Net revenue
Net revenue = Room revenue − Commission. Example: ₹2,70,000 − ₹48,600 = ₹2,21,400.
Worked example
Example: at 300 room nights, ₹3,000 ADR, 30% Booking.com share and 18% commission, channel revenue is ₹2,70,000 and monthly commission is ₹48,600 — leaving ₹2,21,400 net from that channel.
Formula
OTA commission formula: Commission (₹) = Room revenue from that channel × OTA commission rate (%). Net revenue = Room revenue − Commission. Most Indian OTAs charge 15–25% depending on the platform and your contract — Booking.com and Agoda typically run 15–18%, MakeMyTrip/Goibibo 15–25%.
